Expert service

* If you’re unable to visit the pharmacy yourself, you can order your medications for home delivery. Delivery is available on weekdays for €6.99.
* Call the pharmacy at 017-813 666 to arrange the details with a pharmacist.

* Automated dose dispensing (distribution?) is a paid service provided by our pharmacy that helps improve medication safety and reduce costs.
* Medicines are delivered to customers in machine-packed dose sachets every two weeks. Home delivery is also available if needed.
* Ask our staff for more information.

* At the customer’s request, we can send their prescriptions to the local (municipal – kunnallinen?)health center for renewal.
* The service fee is €2.
* Please note that private medical clinics do not accept electronic renewal requests.

We prepare customized medicinal products according to the doctor’s prescription.

Do you suspect that one of your medications is causing side effects or other health issues? Or do you have questions about your medication therapy?

* A medication review assesses the suitability, necessity, effectiveness, and cost-efficiency of your treatment on an individual basis.
* The review is conducted by a pharmacist qualified in medication assessment (LHA certification).
* This paid service includes a personal interview, feedback, and a written summary report.

* When traveling abroad, remember to bring your medications along with your prescriptions (a copy of electronic prescriptions [for international travel]) or, when traveling within the Schengen area, a Schengen certificate for controlled substances or narcotics. You can check with us which of your medications require the certificate.
* The Schengen certificate costs €5 and is valid for 30 days. A copy of electronic prescriptions (A prescription copy for international travel) costs €0.50.
* Please remember to bring your travel document (passport or ID card) when requesting a Schengen certificate at the pharmacy.

* The pharmacy accepts expired and unused medicines from households free of charge.
* All returned medicines are sent to a waste management facility for proper disposal.
* The medicine return point is located inside the pharmacy near the entrance.
* Please remember to remove name labels and any cardboard packaging from the medicines before returning them.

* We are also a teaching pharmacy, where pharmacy students can complete their mandatory internship as part of their studies.
* During the internship, students gain diverse hands-on experience in the key duties of a pharmacist.

* [www.iisalmenapteekki.fi](http://www.iisalmenapteekki.fi) is the online pharmacy of Iisalmi Ykkösapteekki, where you can order both prescription and over-the-counter medicines, as well as other products available in-store.

* You can pick up your order from the pharmacy, or we can deliver it to your home within the Iisalmi city center area. Delivery is also available via Posti, DB Schenker, Matkahuolto, or PostNord.
